White balance
A function on digital camera to compensate for different colors of light being emitted by different light sources.
See Fix photo online. Adjust color saturation, contrast, shadows and highlights. Correct white balance.
White light
A light source that contains a mixture of all wavelengths of the visible spectrum.
Wide-angle lens
A lens that has a shorter focal length and a wider angle of view than a normal lens.
William Thomson, Baron Kelvin
(26 June 1824 – 17 December 1907) was an Irish-Scottish mathematical physicist, engineer, and outstanding leader in the physical sciences of the 19th century. He is widely known for developing the Kelvin scale of absolute temperature measurement.
Working distance
The distance from the front of the lens to the subject.
WYSIWYG
